Tina Fey and Amy Poehler

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are two power house women from SNL, that also happened to be good friends. They did the SNL weekend update together. SNL also had them impersonate the two most important women political candidates in the 2008 election. Tina Fey played Sarah Palin. She did one skit where she would say, "I can see Russia from my house." Then, Amy Poehler played Hilary Clinton.
Both Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have new shows on NBC. Tina Fey stars and writes for her Emmy winning show 30 Rock. In her show she has Alec Baldwin and Tracy Morgan. Amy Poehler just started a new show called, "Parks and Recreation."
This past year they did a movie together entitled,"Baby Mama." It is about where Tina Fey's character is a single, successful business woman that wants to adopt a baby. She goes to surigatecy. The people that agree are a couple that accepts is Angie and Carl, played by Amy Poehler and Dax Shepard. When Poehler doesn't get the eggs fertilized properly she becomes depressed and her and Carl get pregnant.
Then, she and Carl break up and Angie goes to move in with Kate. She decides to fake her pregnancy. Kate has all of the house baby proofed and Angie can not get the toilet seat up so she pees in the sink. Kate also catches Angie putting gum under her coffee table. She says, "Did you just put gum under my coffee table?" Angie replies, "I don't know maybe you put some under there." Then Kate says, "Yeah, I put gum under my own coffee table." Angie says, "B***H I don't know your life." They even go to birthing class together. They asked, "How many of you mothers are giving birth with drugs selfishly giving birth to a medicated baby?" Angie is rolling around on a workout ball and points at her belly and goes, "Ooph, ooph!" Then, they tell the couples to rub olive oil around where the baby comes out. Angie asks, "Can't we just spray a little pam down there right before the baby comes out?" Kate says, "Oh, I like her idea." Ironically enough Amy Poehler just had a baby with her husband, Will Arnet, a fellow SNL star.
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler also were in, "Mean Girls." It was Tina Fey's project and she also played a math teacher. Amy Poehler played Racheal McAdams mom. She was a rich house wife, trying to live through her daughter and be a cool mom. Tina Fey's character is a nerdy math teacher that gets acussed of selling drugs by Lindsay Lohan's character. She is also the coach of the mathletes, which Lohan's character was also on.

Dax Shepard

Dax Shepard is one of my newer favorites. I saw the movie, "Without a Paddle", and immediately thought that he was hilarious. The movie is about four childhood friends that group up and one of them dies at twenty-five. The other three decided to go on the trip that he had planned for the four of them to search for D.B. Cooper's treasure. Shepard plays Tom the unmotivated fly by the seat his pants kind of guy. He is also a liar. He tells them that he has been selling Harleys, but all he did was sell CDs and live out of his car. When they go on their trip they are all riding in a boat. Tom tells the man that was trying to tell them what they needed to know about the river that he was trained in navigation. He says, "Oh, really what level are you four or five?" Tom says, "Put those two numbers together, yeah that's right I'm a forty-five." I laughed uncontrollably because I thougt he was going to say nine. He keeps the little act going when Dan, the very petite nerd of the group, gets caught by a bear. He tells Dan to lie in fetal position, and that it will go away. Instead, the bear treated him like her cub.
Dax Shepard was also in "Employee of the Month", along side Jessica Simpson and Dane Cook. He plays a man trying to get employee of the month to win over Simpson's heart. His rival was Dane Cook, they try to ruin each others chances. His best line is, "This is an eighty-seven Honda! How dare you!"
In real life Shepard has been linked to Kate Hudson and Kirsten Bell. He dated Kate Hudson last year when she was still going through a divorce to rocker Chris Robsion, with whom she has a five-year old son. They came out as a couple the day Owen Wilson went into the hospital for a suicide attempt.

Steve Carell

Steve Carell is an emmy winning actor/comedian. He is best known for is role on "The Office" as Michael Scott. He plays the boss to a paper company called, "Dunder Mifflin." He stars along side Rain Wilson and John Krasinski. He tells "That's what she said." He has a coffee cup that says, "World's greatest boss." that he purchased for himself. He also "solves" office parties by holding meetings. He once solved a problem between Oscar and Angela. Angela had a poster of babies playing jazz hung up in her office and Oscar could not stand it. So Micheal suggested that Oscar wear a T-shirt of the poster so he would not have to see it, and Angela could. He also made "That's what she said jokes popular again. One time Pam says he Micheal my mom is coming, "He yells that's what she said."
Steve Carell is also in "Bruce Almighty", he plays Evan Baxter, a fellow news anchor to Jim Carrey. He steels Bruce's line, and gets the new anchor job. Then, Carrey retaliates with controlling his language and the teleproctor. Carell also appeared in a spin off of the movie called, "Evan Almighty." Carell also appeared as Brick in, "Anchorman". He was in charge of the whether and he is the slow one of the group. Everyone goes into the office and yells at their boss and then Carell comes in and yells, "loud noises."
Carell also stared as the, "Forty-Year Old Virgin." He is hilarious. He gets his chest waxed and he yells out, "Ahhh! Kelly Clarkson." He tells Jay to keep his lady on a leash. At the end all the charters sing, Aquarious.
When he won his Emmy he claimed that his speech was written by his wife Nancy. After everything he said he would go back to and I would like to thank my wife Nancy for giving me two lovely kids and he ended with, "... and lastly I would like to thank my wife nancy." The whole speech had the audience rolling.

Rain Wilson

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Pw_eX97TUw
Rain Wilson is most well'known for his character Dwight K. Shrut on the Office. He owns Shruts beets as well as being a sales rep for Dunder Mifflin.
He and Jim are office rivals so to speak. Jim plays pranks on Dwight. One time Jim put all of Dwight's Office supplies in the vending machines. Jim told Dwight to just buy them back, he says that it was ridiculous because they were his things. Then, Pam comes and buys Dwight's pencil holder. He gives in and says that he will buy it back, then he reaches for his wallet and he sees that it is in the vending machine. Then, Jim hands him a bag of change to buy his wallet back. Another one of their great pranks was when Jim put Dwight's stapler in jello. Jim also stole Dwight's stationary and decided to send him fax's from himself in the future. He sent one to Dwight, Dwight thought it was his future self warning him. It said today the coffee was poisoned. Dwight sees Stanley walk out of the break room with a cup of coffee and as he goes for drink Dwight runs across the room and smacks it out of his hand. It was hilarious. Jim also paid everyone in the office to call Dwight Dwayne for a day. Once Jim put a penny in Dwight's phone each day and then oneday he took them out and Dwight smacked his self in the head with the phone because he wasn't used to it being so light. Then, oneday Jim put Dwight's desk in the bathroom and when he came into work he was about to tell the boss and then Jim says warmer and warmer so Dwight finally finds it in the bathroom. For Halloween Jim dressed up as Dwight and mocked him. Then, Dwight tells Jim that identity theft is not a joking matter and that it effects hundreds of families each year. Then, Jim yells for Michael like Dwight used to, and Dwight yells for Micheal right after him. Then, the next day Dwight comes to the office as Jim. He takes off his glasses and wears a long sleeved shirt and says, "I'm Jim Halpert, blah blah, blah."
Dwight's love interest on the show is Angela. They broke up, however, when Dwight goes to feed Angela's cat and it was dead. Mr. Sprinkles, the cat, was sick and he was dead when Dwight got there. Angela blames Dwight and breaks up with him. Then Dwight goes in the back room and starts crying so Jim goes and talks to him about what happened and pats him on the back. Jim goes back to his desk and then five minutes later so does Dwight. Before he got there Jim placed all of his files over the line of his desk to Dwight's. When Dwight sits down, he makes a phone call and then he grabs a ruler brings it straight up between the desks to move Jim's things. When they all don't fall he smacks the rest of them down. He also tells Jim when they are entering a building that he must enter second because seventy percent of all attacks happen from the back. Jim asks him, "What about the other thirty?", and smacks him in the face.
Rain Wilson was also in, "The Rocker", as the lead in a rock band. He was also a gas station attendant in "Juno". He says to Juno, "That ain't no etch and sketch, this is one doodle that can't be undid homeskilllet.", when she shakes the pregnancy test. He also played a reporter in the movie, "America's Sweet Hearts."

Some of the best quotes are, "I'm reading don't kill myself books."-Wilson "I thought you said the book wasn't yours?"-Vaughn, "It's not mine, but I glanced at it."-Wilson. They make a hilarious duo. His love interest is Rachael McAdams. They make a good couple, but when they meet at the wedding she is engaged to Sak; really mean rich man. Ferrell plays a criminal being questioned and only Pearl can get him to crack. She holds the phone up to her ear, Ferrell asks who are you calling and she says, "911, oh wait I'm a cop. Dane Cook

Dane Cook is one of the most well known standup comedians of today. He has done several shows and even did a few tours. His most recent tour was, "Vicious Circle", one of his most famous acts was the B and E. He says, "I know what some of you are thinking, 'Dane does that mean bacon and eggs'?" He replies, "No, but I could also do bacon and eggs cause thats f***in delicious." He also says that when you do a B and E you must take someone who does not want to go. So he says that he calls up his friend to tell him of his plans and his friend replies, "Whatever you're thinking of doing Dane, No!" Then, Dane threatens him and he eventually agrees. Then, they go driving around looking for the perfect house and they spot it. Dane says, "That's it, that's the house." Then, his friend and him park a distance away so that they have to go through bushes and yards, then Dane's friend says, "Dude, I hear a car." Then, Dane turns around a sarcastically says, "Yeah, the world is full of them, you're going to hear a lot of them for the rest of your life. But if you hear a whale tell me that S**t" So, finally they make it up the steps to the door and Dane walks up and kicks it down. He says, "It was at that moment that I realized that I did not want to do a B and E, I just wanted to kick a door down." He also goes and kicks the closet door down. Norm McDonald

Most people have a list of people in their head that they asociate with funny. I associate Norm McDonald with all the other greats. He was on SNL the same years as Adam Sandler, Chris Farley, and David Spade. He was the green bean in the lunch lady land skit.
Most people don't remember his greatest skits but, he did a great job playing Burt Reynolds on Jeopardy with Will Ferrel. It may seem strange to write the entire blog over a celebrity that some people would not even recognize on the street, but ever since Billy Madison I can't get enough of Norm McDonald. He played a very minor role in the film, but he happened to say some of the best lines such as: Billy-"There's something I was supposed to do today." Norm- "Have seven daqueries, No, you remembered to do that." He serves as Sandler's best friend. In the scene where they are watching the news tehre is a report that Hotel tycoon's son, pays teacher off. Norm says, "Now Now, maybe it's somebody else" Then he waits for the rest of the news story like there is another Hotel tycoon's son redoing first through twelfth grade. I laugh everytime I see this part. He pauses at all the right moments. I once heard that the key to comedy is the pauses you take for the joke to disgest. Norm has mastered the art of pausing.

He is sarcastic and has a witty dry humor to him.
He had a TV show for awhile called Norm. It was cancelled after the first season, I however liked it, it was like the Drew Carrey show. He also was a writer for the T.V. show Roseanne. He will be more reacently appearing in Adam Sandler's new film Funny People, doing a cameo as he plays a comedian.
Norm grew up in Canada, but he currently resides in Canada today.

Adam Sandler

Adam Sandler was born in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Judy, a nursery school teacher, and Stanley Sandler, an electrical engineer. Sandler is Jewish. When he was five, his family moved to Manchester, New Hampshire, where he attended Manchester Central High School. He found he was a natural comic, and nurtured his talent while at New York University by performing regularly in clubs and on campuses. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1991 (Wikepedia).

His SNL skit the lunch lady land was inspired by his real lunch lady at New York University. He was very sucessful on SNL, but he left to pursue a career in film. He has starred in, produced, and helped write many of them. His main money maker right now is his film prouction company Happy Madison.

Although he has produced some sucessful films, he has also starred in many of them. Such as Billy Madison his first major hit. Before that was a film called Going Overboard. He proceeded those films with Happy Gilmore, where he played a hockey player turned golfer. Then came Big Daddy where he watches over a best friends kid, claiming to be him to social services as Sunny Cofax. Next there is Water Boy, he played a waterboy turned football player, Bobby Bouschay. Then came Mr. Deeds, where he played the nephew of a deceased billionare and recieves his foutune. Then came 50 First Dates, where he played a man who falls inlove with a girl who forgets him each night. Later came The Longest Yard remake, where he plays Paul Crew. He then did two serious films; Spanglish and Reign Over me. They were ill recieved by some of the die hard fans, but he came back with Chuck and Larry, Co starring with Kevin James, they act as a gay couple for insurance purposes.

In every film sandler uses a lot of the same people. His usual crew includes: Rob Schnieder, Steve Busceni, John Turturro,John Lovitz, Clint Howard, Norm Mac Donald, and longtime pals Allen Covert, Peter Dante, and Johnathan Laughron.

He is currently working on a film called Funny People. Also he will be working on a movie this summer with, Kevin James, David Spade, Chris Rock, and Rob Schneider.

David Spade

David Wayde Spade age 44 of Burmingham, Michigan is one of the greatest comedians of all time. Before he was famous he made money as a busboy, a valet parker, and a skee ball championship competitor. So as you can see he was destined for greatness.
He went to SNL as an actor and a writer. He was on several classic and epic SNL skits. He played Christy fron the Gap girls where he starred as a women along side Chris Farley and Adam Sandler. He also impersonated Brad Pitt and Michael J. Fox. He also played a rude and sarcastic flight attended that told all of the passengers "buh-bye". He also acted like a scarcastic Hollywood reporter and made fun of the stars he was interviewing.
His most known works would probably be the classic film, Tommy Boy, where he starred along side Chris Farley. They were a perfect pair. They also did a movie called Black Sheep a year after Tommy Boy. Tommy Boy proves more popular and even now remains popular with a cult following. Some of the lines live on in infamy by the die hard fans. Such as, "Were you callin from a walky talky?" and "Don't be the hero!" It is one of my personal favorites. Sadly the sucess ended with the tragic overdose of Chris Farley. David Spade did not attend the funeral like I said. He said, "I could not go somewhere where Chris was in a box."
David Spade has had some success with other films such as Joe Dirt, where he rocks a mullet, and Dikie Roberts childhood star. He plays a child actor who grows up to find that he needs to learn about family life to make a comeback in the role of a lifetime. He ends up helping the family and falling in love with the mom.
He also played some successful roles on sitcoms and tv shows. He played Finch on Just Shoot Me. He also took the place of John Ritter on 8 Simple Rules as cousin CJ. He is currently on the tv show Rules of Engagement. He is still in the spotlight and was currently spotted with Jennifer Aniston when she ditched the primere of her new movie, "He's Just Not That In To You." They said that they are just friends. He has in the past also been linked to Nicolette Sheridan and Heather Locklear.

A tribute to Chris Farley!

For my first official blog I thought it might be appropriate to do a tribute to a fallen comedian; Christopher Crosby Farley. Chris Farley was an iconic figure of the 90s. He grew up in Madison Wisconsin. He was born to an Irish Catholic Family with three brothers and a sister (Wikipedia). Many people know Chris from SNL, but what they do not know is that he worked in an oil field with his dad and was discovered by a SNL scout.

Chris Farley's best of SNL includes an motivational speaker named Matt Foley that tells kids that they are gonna end up just like him, "livin' in a van down by the river. He is also known for "da bears", or the Chicago Bears fans. Another one of his best is the lunch lady land skit. He plays a lunch lady while starring opposite Adam Sandler. "The Chris Farley Show", is another great skit where he, while playing his self, is a nervous interviewer interviewing stars on the show. He also does a Chip and Dales skit opposite Patrick Swayze. The last of his more famous skits is the poorly hygenic news anchor who air quotes his self. He says things like, "Maybe I don't shower regularly" or "I smell like wet dog." He could play anything from a lunch lady to a male stripper and audiences couldn't get enough.

Then after ending his contract with SNL, he branched out into the film business. He played the bus driver in "Billy Madison" and appeared in the movie, "Cone Heads". Then he teamed up with David Spade. In my opinion they were the greatest comedic duo of all time. They had personalities that just clicked so well together. Their first movie together was "Tommy Boy", which was a box office hit, but later developed a cult following. They also did the movie, "Black Sheep". It was not as big as "Tommy Boy", but it is not one that should be missed. Some of the quotes from these movies will serve as the bud of jokes for years to come. Such as: "Bees, Bees in the car, your firearms are useless against them.", "A lot of people go to college for seven years," "Yeah, they're called doctors." and finally the classic, "Whadaya do?" If someone ever were to quote "Tommy Boy" to me, I would crack up; and not just for a minute or two, more or less a full on, roll on the ground, stomach hurts so bad I want to die laughing.

Even in all of his sucess he still had some hardships. Chris had struggled with drug and alchol addiction for years and even admitted his self to various clinics a reported seventeen times (Wikipedia). He died of a drug overdose at the age of thirty-three. It was reported that he had done a speedball, or a combination of cocaine and morphine. It was the same age and type of drug that took the life of another SNL favorite, Jim Belushi. The attendees at his funeral included "Dan Ackroid, Norm McDonald, Adam Sandler, and five hundred others but, surprizingly not David Spade. When asked why he didn't attend he smiply replied, "I could not go somewhere where Chris would be in a box." (SNL greats). I am sure he is remembered by all of his costars and I know he is missed by my friends and me. Check out his movies and the best of Chris Farley, SNL, you will not be dissappointed.

In the weeks to come: Norm McDonald, David Spade, Adam Sandler, Jim Gaffigin, Chris Catan, Will Ferrell, Molly Shannon, Chris Rock, Rob Schiender, Robin Williams and more.
